When a fan goes on an influencer's social media, they should be immediately reminded of the other projects you are working on. This incentivizes them to explore your Youtube page or website when they otherwise may not have wanted to. An effective way of doing this is linking your current projects in your Instagram or Twitter bios. For example, in David Dobrik’s current Instagram bio, he links the cite to his merchandise website. This ensures that he directs some of his followers to buy his clothing.

2. Tell A Story by Going Live on Social Media
One of the main reasons people follow their favourite influencers is because they like to make personal connections with them. They see part of themselves in these social media moguls, and they look up to these people as role models. Going on Instagram Live with your fans shows them that you are relatable and care for them. James Charles utilizes this strategy very effectively often applying makeup live in front of his fans. James doing this shows his fans that he’s easily accessible and cares for his fans.
3. Interact with your Fans Social Media accounts
Answering direct messages from your fans can go a long way. It shows your fans that there is a person behind the screen they’ve been watching. Furthermore, when a fan sees their favourite influencer responded to someone else, they are more incentivized to interact with their content. Hey, even music moguls like Justin Bieber like to respond to their fans DM’s from time to time. Justin often says that without his fans, he wouldn’t be where he is today so he enjoys showing them gratitude.

4. Collaborate with Other Influencers
Collaborating with other influencers is a great way to grow your brand. If you work on a project with someone that serves a different demographic, you are now able to reach their audience as well. This is an extremely valuable tool because without the project, it would have been extremely unlikely for you to interact with this group of fans. Several famous influencers have used this strategy regularly such as Mr Beast. In one of Mr Beast’s Youtube videos, he hosted a rock paper scissors tournament with some of the worlds biggest influencers. He chose influencers from all industries such as Jack Black, Addison Rae and KSI. This exposed Mr Beast to a whole different group of fans that weren’t following him before.
5. Show your fans that you support a cause
Cause marketing can be a very effective strategy for influencers. It shows that you care about world issues helping increase your corporate social responsibility. In many cases, people are more willing to listen to their favourite influencers than local businesses and companies. Promoting a strong message through someone that fans resonate with can be a very effective strategy. Many Tik-Tokers participated in cause marketing during the Black Lives Matter movement. People such as Charlie D’Amelio changed their profile picture to support the cause on their personal accounts. This showed their fans that they care about using their platform for the good to help those in need.
